Melbourne, Australia (January 8, 2005) – Q-Technologies announced today the release of PictureTheBatch 1.2, a feature release.  PictureTheBatch is an easy to use tool that enables users to transform their digital photos as a batch in an easy, reproducible manner.

PictureTheBatch 1.2 introduces the ability to pad an image out to a given aspect ratio to meet standard photo sizes.  The primary purpose of this feature is to prevent unwanted cropping by digital photo printing outlets.  The ability to apply the date the picture was taken to the file modification date is also provided with this version.

PictureTheBatch is a batch processing program for digital photos and other computer images.  The user simply drags the photo(s) from the Windows Explorer or the Macintosh Finder and drops them onto the application's drop window or icon.  A configuration screen then allows the user can choose how they want to process the photo(s).  Transformations/enhancements available include color adjustment, resizing, rotating, applying image filters, overlaying text/images (watermarking) and padding the image to meet standard photo sizes (or any other aspect ratio).

PictureTheBatch 1.2 is a free upgrade to all current licensed users.  PictureTheBatch can be downloaded from the Q-Technologies website at http://www.Q-Technologies.com.au/PictureTheBatch.  Licences are available from US$19.95, €17,00 or GB£11.95.  A free demonstration version can be downloaded from the website that is fully functional, though it prints a promotional watermark on any images processed.
