PRESS RELEASE
Q-Technologies releases PictureScaler 1.5 for Windows and Macintosh.
Resize digital photos the way you want them. Resize them quickly in a batch.
Melbourne, Australia (March 15, 2005) – Q-Technologies announced today the release of PictureScaler 1.5, a feature release. PictureScaler is an easy to use tool that enables users to simultaneously resize and rotate one or more of their digital photos in an easy, reproducible manner.
PictureScaler 1.5 introduces the ability to add a prefix to the output filename, overwrite any file with the same name, set the file modification date to the date the photo was taken and automatically rotate photos according to their embedded orientation.
PictureScaler is a batch processing tool for photos and other images. The user simply drags the photo(s) from Windows Explorer or the Macintosh Finder and drops them onto the drop window or the application icon. A configuration screen then presents itself so the user can choose how they want the photo(s) resized. The user can choose whether the photo(s) should be saved into a different image format, rotated, the file modifcation date modified, previews added or EXIF data retained. Presets can be configured to enable rapid consistant repetition of the photo processing.
PictureScaler 1.5 is a free upgrade to all current licensed users. PictureScaler 1.5 can be downloaded from the Q-Technologies website at http://www.Q-Technologies.com.au/PictureScaler. Licences are available from US$12.95, €10,50 or £7.50. A demonstration version can be downloaded from the website. This is fully functional, though it prints a promotional watermark on any images processed.
